Location and public transport
Gordon Stephenson House is above Perth Underground Train Station and is a short distance from Perth Train Station.
If you are travelling within the CBD there are CAT stops nearby on William Street (Red Cat – Stop 11) and Wellington Street (Yellow Cat – Stops 14 or 25).

Car parking
There are a number of parking options within a short distance of 140 William Street. The closest car park for short term parking is Queens Complex, Wilson Parking on the corner of Wellington and Queen Streets, Perth.
Queens Complex – Wilson Parking
There are three accessible parking bays on the first level adjacent to the lift lobby and car park entry.
Bays are identified by the blue access symbol. Bays are undercover with a clearance over the bays of 2.3 metres. Bays are 3.3 metres wide and 3.8 metres long.
Lift
The lift buttons are in braille but there is no audio. The lift doors open 0.9 metres wide, and the lift carriage is 1.4 metres wide and 1.4 metres deep.
Pay machines
The pay machines are on the ground level adjacent to the lift lobby and accessed directly from Queen Street by all car park users. There is a level surface between the lift and the ticket machine with sufficient space in front of the machine for a mobility-aid user to approach. The visual display of the ticket machine is at standing height of 1.25 metres.
Pedestrian access
Pedestrian access to the department can be gained by exiting the car park through the sliding door which is 0.9 metres wide on Queen Street, heading towards Murray Street, turning left onto Murray Street and crossing William Street.
Accessibility inside the building
Public access lifts
There are three lifts located in the ground floor public access foyer of Gordon Stephenson House. The lift buttons are in braille and the lift has auditory and visual notifications.
Controls are at standing height up to a height of 1.2 metres.
The automatic opening lift door is 1.1 metres wide and the lift car is 1.5 metres wide and 2 metres deep.
Accessible bathrooms
An accessible bathroom is located on Level 2 reception, adjacent to the lifts.
The hinged bathroom door opens to a width of 0.85 metres.
Accessible customer service centre
The reception on the second floor of the building has a customer service counter at a height of 0.72 metres to allow better accessibility.
